I was properly introduced to yoga in 2008 during my training at Cambridge Performing Arts Theatre School to support my dance training. Instantly, I was hooked on the release I took from it, both physically and emotionally. Having always had a passion for fitness & nutrition, I qualified as a fitness instructor and later competed as a fitness model which gave me greater understanding and interest of anatomy of how I could enhance my physical wellbeing through an asana yoga practice.

Being a student of yoga gave me so much healing, rehabilitation and support on both physical and psychological means that after graduating from theatre school, between time on the stage as an actress, I completed a 200 hour teacher training at CamYoga so that I could offer this journey to others too. I began teaching Hatha and Vinyasa styles as my love of dance threaded into my teaching, but I also later trained in Yin yoga to offer a restorative balance to dynamic movement.

Still, with a love for stronger, more challenging styles of yoga I took a 50hour training in Rocket Yoga which I now thoroughly enjoy teaching, and with a passion to understand our biomechanics and deeper assists, I also took a level 1 training in Forrest Yoga with Jambo Truong who continues to inspire my teaching greatly.

I have assisted Teacher Trainings in Spain, co-hosted retreats in UK and Spain and held many local workshops for students to finder a deeper understanding of their practice. I teach students from total beginners to advanced ninjas in class settings or private tuition and I am incredibly excited to now bring this all into a new studio that I will be opening in Essendon this September, Cucumber Fields, where I know I will continue to learn so much.

My journey as a teacher and as a yogi is forever blossoming, I hold eternal gratitude for every student, every teacher and every practice.

caroline lyons

Caroline Lyons has been practicing yoga for over 10 years. She likes the way yoga makes her feel, the strengthening effect it has on her body and the quietening effect it has on her mind.

Whilst living in Australia, back in 2016 she decided to take her practice to the next level, training as a Vinyassa Flow teacher under Troy Abraham in Melbourne. She then travelled to Mysore, India to learn from Pranavashya practitioner, Vinay Kumar. It was in India where she learned more about the importance of pranayama and breathing which she drew great inspiration from and brought the techniques back with her to include in her own classes, now in the UK.

Caroline is fanatical about breath – life starts and ends with breath.

Both Vinyassa and Pranavashya draw heavily on linking asanas with breath: one breath, one movement and Caroline draws on this concept to form her classes.

She believes that yoga is a personal practice to be taken at your own pace, and continuously reminds her students to observe themselves kindly and to not make comparisons. She believes very much in the idea that you need to: “Regress to Progress”, master the foundations first and build up from there. Above all, she encourages her students to neither take life or yoga too seriously. She likes to enjoy and go with the flow. Her classes are a mixture of asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing) and she always leaves time for 5 minutes savasana (sleeping).

Rachel loves to encourage playfulness and wonder within her yoga practice, her classes and life. She has been teaching full time since 2006, hosting her own retreats and exploring the world. Rachel is from The Midlands in the UK and has lived in India. She is now enjoying the calm and peaceful lifestyle in beautiful Fuerteventura and loving teaching at Azulfit.

mel lowe fismer

Mel first trained in India with The Bihar School of Yoga and will always appreciate the simple ashram life which helped build the foundations of her day to day life trying to do her best at following the 8 fold path of Hatha Yoga. She has been teaching for 14 years and started by teaching children, teenagers & adults with learning disabilities such as asperges & autism. She teaches a range of styles from Dynamic Vinyasa, Forrest Yoga, Hatha, Yoga Nidra, Hot Yoga as well as Shakti Dance (kundalini inspired) and offers Sound Healing Baths. Her classes are always kind and inclusive, playful and honest. You can expect to work hard and enjoy some story telling and yoga philosophy. Her Sound Healing Sessions are quite shamanic and her wish is to create an environment where she can facilitate healing on all levels. In Lak'ech Ala K'in (Mayan Greeting) - I am you and you are me, we are one.

Mel has always been drawn to the esoteric and started exploring books and yoga shortly after her father had a massive stroke at the age of 38. She was 15 at the time and found the stress of her whole world thrown upside down almost too much to bare. She found the calming practices of Iyengar Yoga so grounding that she decided she wanted to become a teacher & an advocate in self care. She was hugely inspired by her first Iyengar teacher Pat Deacon.

Mel's passion to make a difference in the lives of the people she meets throughout her life, comes from witnessing the effect that the stresses of modern day living had on both her parents physically, mentally and emotionally. She believes strongly that the stresses weighed so heavily upon her mother that it contributed to early onset dementia in her late 40's. Although her mother is in the final stages of the disease now, she is still inspired by the fire in her mothers eyes and the determination in her permanently disabled father and it powers her on to continue with her life's mission.

joshua le clair

I teach high-energy classes led by alignment, presence and a sense of play — and I encourage my students to invite balance into their lives while pushing their boundaries as a yogi and an individual. My passion for theatre merges with yoga to drive my research using yogic techniques to supplement performance and I run workshops and classes specifically for performers as well as for the general public.

Class styles I teach include Vinyasa Flow, Power Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Modified Ashtanga Vinyasa, Hatha Yoga, and Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga. I also share the foundation of my teaching in my role as a lecturer for YogaLondon’s 200-Hour Teacher Training. I specialize in asana to support performance and chakra-led classes.

Vicky spent most of her life in Sydney, moving to London 5 years ago. Yoga has been a part of her life for abut 10 yrs, as a means to find a balance to firey workouts. From lifting to Pole dancing. She found herself comparing herself to others on the mat, (you know that feeling of trying to win at yoga?! yes that was her). The more she practiced and started falling more in love with yoga, she found herself falling more and more in love with herself. Slowly learning how to let go and move from the heart.

Graduating from 250 Hr YTT through Stretch London, she enjoys teaching strong flows. In line with practicing Muay Thai and Brazillian Jui-Jitsu, yoga has been a connecting bridge to her breath and her movement practice.

"As a teacher i see myself as a guide to those that arrive onto the mats. Bringing people back to their bodies, minds and breaths".

Izzi Rose Pic.jpg

izzi rose

Izzi Rose is a 200hr YAI-CYT qualified yoga teacher, with a particular interest in restorative yin yoga, meditation and breathing techniques (pranayama). As well as teaching yoga, she is also mental health trained and studies postgraduate Philosophy at King’s College London. She is fascinated by the intersection between Philosophy and yoga, using both contemporary and ancient principles to guide her classes. She also trained in theatre and dance for over ten years, which now helps her to build creative yoga sequences for her students. As an accumulation of all of these aspects, she teaches with a holistic, dynamic and informed approach.

Izzi Rose’s main intention as a yoga teacher is to help her students to grow in confidence and wellbeing, transforming self-care from an intangible concept into a practical part of their lives. In her classes, the focus is on the life-long benefits of a yoga practice, rather than on hitting particular shapes or looking a certain way. Izzi Rose and her students are passionate about personal-growth, mindfulness, wellbeing and putting love at the centre.
